Athletic Newham can confirm that Francesco Zabotti has left the club by mutual consent.

The club owes a huge amount of thanks to Francesco for coming in and steadying the ship that was blighted by a depleted squad.

With limited resources Francesco almost got #TheKings into the play-offs.

We would like to put on record our thanks and we wish him all the best in what we believe will be a very successful career as a manager.

Francesco has been nothing but honest and open about what he wants regarding his ambitions and his desire to push the club, however we weren’t in a position to see eye to eye at this stage, With the club moving towards the direction of players development, he found that this didn’t align with his plans and ambition, but we thank him for all the hard work he and his coaching team have put in through the time at the club and wish him the absolute best in the future as he is a top manager and he will always be welcome down at Athletic Newham.
