It’s heartbreak in the FA Cup as we bowed out in the Extra Preliminary Round against a strong Sevenoaks Town side.
The boys gave everything on the pitch, showing real hunger and determination, but in the end, Sevenoaks had the finishing touch that saw them through to the next round.
Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take. Up against an experienced Step 4 side, our lads showed fight, resilience, and moments of real quality. We’ll learn from this, build on it, and come back stronger.
Our scheduled midweek fixture was moved due to FA Cup commitments and potential replays across the competition, giving us an unexpected break from action this week.
The time off has been valuable, allowing the squad to recover, refocus, and prepare for the visit of White Ensign this weekend. The boys have been working hard in training and are ready to bounce back.
The last time we faced White Ensign, they came away 3-0 winners—and they did the double over us last season. That’s something we haven’t forgotten.
This weekend, we welcome them back with a point to prove. The squad is hungry, focused, and ready to rise to the challenge. We’ve come a long way since last season, and now it’s time to show it.
