First Round of the BBC Sports Essex Senior Cup saw us travel over to Coggeshall Town and we come away with a 5-3 win on pens after playing out a 0-0 draw,
A total of 20 teams progress to the Second Round, made up of:
- 18 First Round winners, and
- 2 new entrants from higher leagues – Stanway Rovers and Takeley.
It was a strong showing for Essex Senior League clubs, with 12 teams still in the competition. Several sides were knocked out, but notably by fellow Essex Senior opposition a testament to the league’s depth and competitiveness.
